HISTORY Volstad Maritime AS is a privately owned Norwegian Company, which both ownes and operates vessels in seismic exploration and offshore IRM and construction.
The Company's office is located in the maritime capital of the Norwegian Northwest, Aalesund. 
From the day the Company built its first vessel in 1952, the Company has evolved into an international operation with activities within oceangoing fishing vessels and built to purpose offshore vessels (ROV/DSV/Seismic Exploration). Company ownes two Seismic Survey Vessels, which operates worldwide on Time Charter for WesternGeco AS.
In 2005 the Company took delivery of its ROV/DSV newbuilding the Bibby Sapphire which was on long-term Time Charter to Bibby Offshore Ltd. until April 2010. The vessel was 21th of April 2010 sold to Bibby Offshore Ltd. In 2007, Bibby Topaz was delivered from Fosen Shipyard to Volstad. The ship is 107meter long. She is equipped with two diving bells. This gives her the possibility to operate with 18 divers. And she can operate in up to 300meter depth. Topaz can also have 106 crew on board. Topaz is operating under a long term Time-Charter with Bibby Offshore Ltd. In the beginning of 2008, Volantis was delivered from Fosen Shipyard to Volstad. She has the same length as Topaz, 107m. This is a multi-role subsea support vessel. Volantis will support the company’s latest trenching developments, forming part of a new spread that will include a work class ROV, the 2,100kW UT-1 ‘Ultra Trencher’ and a 2,000 tonne lay system. Volantis is operation under a long term Time-Charter with CTC, a subsidiary of Deep Ocean ASA. The Oceanic Endeavour is a seismic streamer vessel, delivered from Fosen Yard in 2008, she is equipped to tow up to 16 streamers, and 8 gunstrings. She can take a crew of 70 persons. This is a vessel with Comfort class, and very high standard on all cabins, recreations room, etc. She is on a long time chart with CGGVeritas. The vessel was previoused named Geowave Endeavour. Deep Cygnus, a multi-role subsea support vessel, was delivered from Fosen Yard in 2009. This vessel is chartered by Canyon Offshore. Deep Cygnus will be doing jobs like cable laying from carosel, trenching, rov operations from hangar, etc. The last vessel in the fleet is Geo Caspian. She was delivered from Fosen Yards in beginning of 2010, and has a long time chart with Fugro. This is a streamer seismic vessel, with capasity to tow 16 streamers. The ship has cabins for 70 crew, and all single cabins.
